John Lydon cancels North American Q&A tour

John Lydon of Sex Pistols and P.I.L. has canceled all the North American dates on his upcoming Q+A tour. European dates will go ahead as planned. Lydon's representatives issued a statement: "Unfortunately due to scheduling and production issues John Lydon's planned Q&A tour of North America this Fall has been canceled for the foreseeable future. Please contact your ticket vendor for refund information. We apologise for any inconvenience, we know John's North American fans were looking forward to seeing him. For the avoidance of doubt, all remaining UK dates will go ahead as planned."

John Joseph announces new book ‘Destroying Monsters’

John Joseph, formerly of Cro-Mags and currently of Bloodclot, will release a new book. It's called Destroying Monsters and it's out via his own Grace Publishing. The first half of the book talks about Joseph's own struggle with addiction. The second half talks about techniques and skills Joseph uses for staying clean. The book is expected out this summer. Joseph stated: "This took a lifetime of lessons in the school of hard knocks and years to write. The first 1/2 is the story of my struggle with the disease over the years. The 2nd half is the way out. What methods myself and others in long term recovery use to stay clean and sober. Many are struggling now and hopefully this book can bring some light into their darkness."

Dennis Thompson, drummer for MC5, has passed away

Dennis Thompson, drummer for MC5, has passed away. He was the last surviving member of the band and passed away at the age of 75. He had been recovering following a heart attack he had suffered in April and passed after “a series of medical issues” as reports the Detroit Free Press. Dennis Thompson joined the band in 1968 and played with them until they broke up in 1972. He also played with the band from 2003-2012. He played in The New Order, New Race, The Motor City Bad Boys, and The Secrets. MC5 will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year and be presented with the Musical Excellence Award. We send our condolences to Dennis Thompson’s family, friends, and fans.

Doom Regulator, the band that includes Jesse Michaels, Tim Armstrong, Joey Castillo, and Spencer Pollard, are back in the studio. Michaels posted an instagram story (which has now expired), that included a picture of the band recording in the studio. He also stated that while the band is moving slowly, there is new material on the way. We'll keep you updated.
